Located near Parker, the Rueter-Hess Incline Challenge is Colorado’s newest hike as well as one of the most unique, thanks to its butt-busting incline!
Visitors of the Rueter-Hess Incline Challenge are guaranteed a great workout thanks to its 132 steps, as well as incredible views at the top, making it worth the effort.
When you gaze out on the surrounding landscape, you will be treated to several different views that vary from the Denver skyline to Longs Peak and Pikes Peak.
In addition to the jaw-dropping views and killer workout, the Rueter-Hess Incline Challenge is also conveniently located next to the Rueter-Hess Reservoir (pictured), making for a perfect day outside.
The Rueter-Hess Incline Challenge is located just to the west of the Rueter-Hess Water Purification Facility. From the Rosie Rueter Lot, take the .5-mile Incline Trail, which will lead you straight to the stairs.
