The Wallow Mountains are a winter wonderland this time of year. There are great trails for snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and more.
There’s something truly magical about the Oregon coast during the winter. The howling sea, the crashing waves; the ocean is terrific and beautiful.
Mt Hood is a wonderful place to explore during the winter. There are many great skii resorts including Timberline, which has a beautiful wooden lodge where you can relax, eat, and sip hot drinks after a day of skiing. To avoid the lines, the ski resorts are best visited on weekdays.
Emigrant Springs State Park is a great place to explore during the winter months because it gets a good amount of snow (it’s located near the summit of the Blue Mountains) and the park offers log cabins to make winter camping more comfortable.
