If you’re looking for a truly Alaskan adventure, Coldfoot Camp, located in the Arctic Circle, is the perfect place to visit. Made famous by the show “Ice Road Truckers,” this truck stop, cafe, and overnight accommodations are absolutely out of this world. And visiting in the wintertime is an adventure all on its own.

Once you pass through into the Arctic Circle, you’ll come across a very small town called Coldfoot. Coldfoot Camp is the town’s main attraction, and it’s a truck stop, cafe, and camp available to visit.

You’ll experience firsthand incredibly low temperatures, crystal clear skies with the northern lights dancing overhead, and even dog sled rides through the stunning landscape that surrounds you. And Coldfoot Camp is a welcome beacon in the darkness, filled with tasty food and warm accommodations.

It’s open all year long, and in the winter, it’s open from 5:00 am – 12:00 am daily. You’ll have a full restaurant menu to order from, and the items change seasonally.

Enjoy a breakfast buffet from 5:00 am – 9:00 am daily or a dinner buffet from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Breakfast buffets in the summertime are $14.95 per person, and dinner buffet is $21.95 per person.

The trailers have been refurbished and brought up to date, but they’re still rustic. Each room has two twin beds and a private bathroom with a shower, and they’re squeaky clean, and cozy to boot.

High season rates are November, December, and March. This is the busy season due to the ice truckers making their way to Prudhoe Bay.

Especially in the wintertime, under the aurora borealis, and driving through incredibly cold temperatures. It doesn’t get more “Last Frontier” than this!
