The Beehive State’s five national parks each have unique features, but all offer sweeping vistas of a vast landscape that seems untouched by humans. It’s not uncommon to find overlooks with views that go for miles, and at Canyonlands National Park, those million-dollar views are a dime a dozen!
One of the best overlooks at Canyonlands requires a short hike, but your efforts are richly rewarded. Check out the Grand View Point Overlook:
Canyonlands National Park covers 337,598 acres, and its views stretch for miles. Here, you’ll see how the elements have carved out canyons and shaped rock formations and buttes across the landscape over eons. One of the best spots for viewing is the Grand View Point Overlook.
You’ll find the overlook at the south end of the Island in the Sky District, and a short, 300-foot-long, paved path will take you right to the viewing area.
