There are nearly 400 high alpine lakes in the Sawtooth Wilderness, and many of these enchanting lakes can only be accessed on a hike. Such is the case with the stunning Norton Lakes in Idaho. The trail to reach these two lakes may be a bit challenging, but it is just as beautiful as the lakes themselves. On the Norton Lakes Trail, you will cross bridges, capture gorgeous mountain views, and find yourself surrounded by trees. This is a bucket-list-worthy trail for every hiker.

To find the trailhead, you will travel north on Highway 75 past Ketchum for approximately 15 miles, until you reach Baker Creek Road. Follow this road for six miles and turn right onto Norton Creek Road. You will then follow this road for approximately 1.3 miles until you reach the trailhead.
