One of the MANY great things about Colorado is our many railroads and trains that are open to the public and boast incredible views of the state. For one of these memorable rides that run year-round, we highly recommend climbing aboard Colorado’s one and only Royal Gorge Route Railroad:
Based out of Canon City, the Royal Gorge Route Railroad is a year-round, 2-hour train ride that runs through the iconic Royal Gorge via a section of the former Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad.
“When we set out to resurrect the Royal Gorge Route Railroad line through Colorado’s grandest canyon, our vision was to offer far more than the traditional tourism experience,” shares the Railroad, which they have managed to do time and again since their launch in 1998.
